In a two day workshop held at Khotsong Lodge in Thaba-Bosiu on Monday and Tuesday, reporters were given a way to quality reporting especially on Mellinnium Development Goals (MDGs).

About eleven reporters from different media houses took part on this workshop. “Ten qualities of a good reporter are curiosity, communication skills, integrity, ability to be neutral and unbiased, people skills, writing skills, persistence, guts, skill and interest in something as well as competitive spirit”. These were said by Mr. Muanza a trainer at this workshop.

Day two of the workshop saw reporters going from pillar to post around the surrounding villages such as Ha-Jobo and Makhalanyane in search of news and facts about the lives of the people in those areas. Thus it is anticipated of the newspapers to report quality news in consideration with MDG’s
