The TRC and UNDP Annual Media Incentive on MDGs reporting promotes quality reporting on the national effort towards attainment of the MDGs within parameters of unbiased professional reporting. In this competition open to both broadcast and print media, practitioners are expected to report on Lesotho’s progress or lack thereof as well as challenges towards achievements of the MDGs.

This competition, open to all journalists in Lesotho carries the monthly prize of 1000 Maloti while the overall winners at the end of the competition will pocket the first prize of 5000, second prize of 3000 and third prize of 1500 Maloti successively.

The competition itself is meant to act as an additional strategy to promote wider awareness of the Goals by the target date of 2015 through intensified coverage in the media.
